Who Am I?
“Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.”
― Aristotle
“Who Am I” delves into the concept of self-identity or self-concept and what it means to look within oneself for insight on a daily basis.
How do we find out "Who Am I?" We go through a series of events whereby a person attempts to determine how they feel, personally, about the events that have happened in their life thus far. This concept is a compilation of the reactions, findings and beliefs that have developed as a result of the events. The topic of self-discovery has been associated with Zen. A related term is "finding oneself".
Most of us land in our self-concept. We have no idea why we are the way we are but we accept it as a fact. Developing a positive personal self-concept requires examination of the events, our beliefs about the events and understanding how they have shaped us.
Why is there such a huge difference in the results that people experience in life? You can find two people in the same family - one a huge success and the other a miserable failure. This is because of what is happening inside of us and it is different for each one of us.
Again, it is all about your beliefs. It is imperative to look at your beliefs if you want to make changes.
