What Makes Us Do What We Do?
WHY do we do what we do? We repeatedly perform activities day in, day out. We get into a routine and things seem to go well as long as the routine does not get interrupted. WHAT if I told you that you have to make changes in your routine in order to grow or move towards your goals? For example, if you always do crunches - you get a section of your tummy strong. What about the rest of your body? If your overall goal is to be physically fit, this may not be your best approach. HOW do we move towards the changes that we need to make if we never change our mind set? It's just not possible. This is the reason why most people don't ever reach their goals. We often give up because our goals are set based on a bigger way of thinking (that is why we call them dreams) - but we don't adjust. Consider this - you can meet any of your dreams by changing your WHO.
To change your WHO you must first accept your current self. Getting to know yourself is a process that takes time. It is about understanding WHY you do the things you do - a process of understanding your beliefs. It is about understanding WHAT you do - a process of understanding your behaviors. WHEN you take a look at these two things it will help you to MOVE towards your DREAMS and not settle for what you have always gotten.
