Maintaining Your Integrity
Doing good is actually very easy and it fills your heart with even more good. Try doing something kind and see how it makes you feel. Your heart will likely beat a little more, you may get a tingly feeling and a smile will appear spontaneously.
Honesty is vital in maintaining your integrity. If you are not honest, you are not fooling anyone - especially not yourself. Sometimes, it may seem easier to not be honest but it takes a toll on who you are.
Treating others the way you want to be treated is the core principle of the golden rule. The golden rule is a reflection of respect for others and for yourself. Helping others is a wonderful way to build your sense of integrity.
Leading by example will come easy if you do the other three things listed. You will also begin to attract good people along the way because like attracts like.
Think of your integrity as a bucket. If you do good, lead an honest life, treat others with respect and lead by example - your bucket will be full. If you slip up once or twice you will be spending extra time trying to repair those holes and less time bringing good into your life. If you can't keep count of the holes in your bucket then you will forever be trying to plug them up, which will result in less and less good in your life.
