Making A Difference

It is so important in today's changing world to take a moment to notice the impact you have on others.  I was raised in a home environment that was not "normal".  My parents were divorced, my mother was not able to provide a safe environment for me and I chose to go to foster care.  This was the beginning of a very awesome time for me.  At this time, I was subjected to the influence of people outside of my family.  This was a wonderful experience because I was accepted, taught, mentored, valued, and loved in a whole new way.  These outsiders became a new sort of family for me and what I found throughout my life ~ every single time I needed support, teachings or love ~ I found it in the most amazing places.  The experiences I had were rich and full because these people chose to be part of my village. It continues to happen for me daily.  I am so blessed because I was open to these people who were able to make a difference ~ because they wanted to.  Be that person!
