Social Status BS

One of the ickiest things adults do is play social games.  Some of the most amazing people I have in my life are the ones who don't measure the quality of the relationship by how much stuff I have accumulated.  One of my favorite sayings of all time comes from a time when I was cleaning houses to make a living while in graduate school.  Simple "If you came to see me, welcome.  If you came to see my house, there is the door.  If you tell anyone what you saw here, you aren't one of my people."  Absolutely ❤️ this!  

Usually the most judgemental people are the ones who are trying to hide their "BS".  Remember, when you turn your nose up and act as if someone is beneath you - it speaks loudly of your insecurities.  And, those of us who own our "BS" see right through your stuff and would welcome you for who you are, with flaws.  No pretending necessary! Judgement is a guess about what you THINK you know and truth is your THINKING is about your history - not the person you are judging.
