Perspective
Many of today’s problems would change if the person reporting (you, your friend, the media) changed their perspective. For example, “My boyfriend broke up with me and I don’t know what to do” could be changed to “My boyfriend and I decided to just be friends and see what other opportunities life has in store”. Or, try this one, “My Grandma died and I am so sad” could be changed to, “My Grandmother passed quietly in her sleep this morning and I spent the day with gratefulness in my heart because I knew her, experienced her greatness and have wonderful memories that I will celebrate for a lifetime.” Each statement can and will impact your feelings and the behaviors that follow. You decide the direction. Your thoughts matter.
