Parenting Hacks
All behavior is purposeful.
If you reward bad behavior, it will continue. And, it will grow.
When you try to extinguish unwanted behavior, it typically gets worse before it gets better.
You must have endurance.
If you believe in the child’s potential - they will surprise you.
If you accept bad behavior - the message the child hears is “I am not worth the time and energy”.
If you don’t believe in the child’s potential - they will surprise you.
A child who is expected to act up won’t let you down.
If you want the child to be industrious - you must employ them.
If you want the child to have good behavior - you must model good behavior.
If you teach your child kindness - it builds their compassion.
If you teach a child to trust in your response (be consistent) they begin to “parent” self and good behavior becomes automatic.
If you do it for them - they never learn to do it for themselves .
If you don’t trust them to do the right thing - they won’t.
Believing in your ability to parent is priceless.
